About Our Client: Our client is a prestigious 4-star lodge nestled in the scenic landscapes of Mkuze, KwaZulu-Natal. Renowned for its luxurious accommodations and impeccable service, they are currently seeking a skilled Bartender to join their hospitality team.
Position Overview: As the Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a wide range of beverages to guests, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards are upheld. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented bartender to showcase their mixology skills and contribute to creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, and spirits.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring their satisfaction with their beverage choices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar equipment, glassware, and supplies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of beverages and bar supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Adhere to all relevant safety, health, and hygiene regulations, including responsible service of alcohol practices.
- Collaborate with other members of the hospitality team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Provide support during special events and functions, including setting up and dismantling the bar area as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, lodge, or upscale establishment.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including mixing cocktails and pouring wines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
